  • If You Give a Team Some Tetrix Parts… (Parody of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie…)

    Mar 25, 2015
If you give a team some Tetrix parts, they’re going to want to build a robot. When they build a robot, they’re probably going to ask for some extra metal. When they’re finished, they’ll ask you for some wiffle balls. Then they’ll want to get polo shirts to make sure they look professional. When they get the polos, they may notice that their heads look bare, so they may ask for green bandanas. When they are finished with their look, they will want a cart to put their robot on. They’ll go to the competition. They might do well and win some awards. They may even advance to the North Super Regional! When they’re done, they will probably want to go Culver’s. They’ll have to improve their robot with some more beams and a 3D printer. They’ll meet, practice judging, and run the robot a few times. They’ll probably ask for some sausage. So you’ll cut up some sausage, and they’ll probably ask you for some cheese. When they finish their snack, they’ll be so excited that they will want to work even harder. They’ll ask for a wrench and some bolts. They’ll work on the robot. When the robot is finished, they will want to work on some outreach. Then they’ll want to add to the engineering notebook. Which means they will need a computer. They’ll finish the notebook and want to print it out. Printing it out will remind them that they have a competition coming up. So… they’ll ask for more Tetrix parts. And chances are, if they ask you for more Tetrix parts, they’re going to want to build a better robot for the Super Regional competition! [...]
